Which file system should I choose โ Blue Files, Pro Gold, or Premium?
Each system is designed for different clinical needs:
Blue Files โ Made from thermally treated NiTi, offering superior flexibility for curved canals. Ideal for complex anatomy.
Pro Gold โ Gold heat-treated for enhanced cyclic fatigue resistance. Great for moderately curved canals with a balance of flexibility and strength.
Premium โ Our standard NiTi system, suitable for straightforward cases and high-volume practices looking for cost efficiency.
When in doubt, choose Blue Files for challenging anatomy and Premium for routine cases.
What is the difference between constant taper and variable taper files?
Constant taper files have a uniform increase in diameter along the entire length (e.g., 0.04 or 0.06 taper). They are predictable and easy to use.
Variable taper files change their taper along the length, mimicking natural canal anatomy. They remove less dentin coronally and are preferred for preserving tooth structure in curved or narrow canals.
How many files do I need per case โ single file or a system approach?
A single-file system (e.g., one reciprocating or rotary file) is faster and suitable for straightforward canals. A multi-file system provides more controlled shaping in stages and is recommended for complex or severely curved canals. Most Healix systems are designed to be used as a sequence for optimal results.
How long do rotary files last? When should I replace them?
As a general guideline, NiTi rotary files should be replaced after 3โ5 uses per file (or per manufacturer recommendation), even if no visible deformation is present. Cyclic fatigue can cause unexpected fracture. Always inspect files under magnification before each use and discard any file showing unwinding, deformation, or discolouration. For single-use protocols, discard after each patient.
Are Healix files single-use or multi-use?
Healix files are designed for limited multi-use with proper sterilisation between uses. However, for infection control and safety, many clinicians prefer single-use protocols. Always follow your clinic's sterilisation and infection control guidelines.

Which endomotor is compatible with Healix rotary files?
All Healix NiTi rotary files are fully compatible with the Healix Endomotor. The Healix Endomotor supports both rotation and reciprocation modes, adjustable torque, and auto-reverse โ making it ideal for use with our entire file range. It is also compatible with most standard 16:1 reduction contra-angle handpieces.
Can I use Healix files with a third-party endomotor?
Yes. Healix files use a standard ISO latch-type connection and are compatible with most endomotors available in the market. Ensure your motor supports the correct torque and speed settings recommended for the specific file system you are using.
What is the warranty on the Healix Endomotor?
The Healix Endomotor comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects. Damage due to misuse, dropping, or unauthorised repair is not covered. Please contact us for warranty claims.
